Day 52 - Sallye's leaving...

Sallye's leaving today, so no diving for either of us, as I want to see her off properly. We walk into town in the morning, check her out of the dive shop, and have a very tasty breakfast at the Museum. This time I have a pretty awesome dish again - scrambled eggs with cactus, parsley, and... mint! A very unusual, yet amazing combo.

Update on Sallye's lost luggage: Every morning and night during her 5-day trip, Sallye was making phone calls to all possible trip-related Delta locations - Cozumel, Atlanta, Cancun. Every time she heard a similar story: the bag is going to be put on the next flight from Atlanta to Cancun, and you need to pay $100 to get it to Cozumel. She never got the bag while here. Finally, by some magical coincidence, it flew back home on the same plane with her. Almost a happy end.

It was so great having Sallye here, and so much fun diving together! I cannot wait to our next underwater adventure, wherever and whenever that may be...

  2. *Sigh*
It was a great time! Thank you again for hosting me and filling in some gaps from that separately-vacationing bag. Such a wonderful lesson, though. Rather begs the question of needing all that stuff for travel - or everyday life, for that matter.

Saw a tip for wearing BCD onto flights, so it doesn't count as baggage at all. Undercurrent says it works. Might have to try it sometime. Power Quattros length are the biggest hangup...

Looked at your profile a bit ago and was viewer #100! Our next dive adventure must be my prize. :D

    Heard from Liang. Next adventure?

  3. They seriously allow wearing BCD's on flights??? That is hysterical - imagine flights to and from Cozumel - the entire plane could be in BCD's, hahaha!

I haven't heard from Liang - what's she saying? I'm up for any adventures, as you may have already noticed:).

Ha, I have never looked at my profile - viewer #100, wow. Didn't expect to be so popular... Should check it out, I guess.

And again, it was a great pleasure having you over and diving with you is amazing!

  4. With baggage fees continuing to grow more and more ridiculous, I could see it...

Liang's saying she's pretty swamped and glad her advisor talked her into a lighter load than she'd planned. Nautilus Explorer wouldn't respond, so we may be seeking another adventure.

I'm so glad we got in so much diving and such excellent dives! Hard to believe a year ago you were just getting into it...
